One of Bermagui’s most famous families (The Payne Family) owned a Guest House on the south eastern shore of Wallaga Lake bridge which when their lease on the crown land expired in the 1930’s they moved the old guest house to its current location within the grounds of BIG4 Wallaga Lake Holiday Park in Bermagui.
The famous guest house was called “Alawah House” and is currently in the process of being converted into a Micro-Brewery & Café which is due to open September 2016. Camel Rock Brewery will be the first Micro-Brewery in Bermagui and the Sapphire Coast and will offer much local Bermagui and Tilba Tilba produce not to mention the seafood that Bermagui is so famous for.
